do you think our slavery experience in jamaica and the americas has any effect on how things r in jamaica now ? if so how

I'ld say yeah. it does. The light skin syndrome is probably an effect of slavery. Jamaican people will be so unfriendly to their fellow country man with whom they share nationality. Throw a tourist in the mix and you'll see how different an individual will act around them. to make the point more vivid. put a Jamaican who is of light complexion and who speaks relatively perfect English and maybe a slight accent in the midst of other Jamaicans. that are clearly of Jamaicans nationality and your will certainly see a difference in how the relate to each other.

Relative to the country on an economical stand point. I can say if we didn't break free of British colonialism the possibilities exist that we would be way better off than we are today. Our dollar is so weak its not even funny.
